Your Bridesmaids will be doing so much for you during your wedding process, so your proposal better be cute! You can keep it simple or go all out, it’s really up to you.
When should you do it? I think the standard time frame is 6-9 months in advance. This will really help you with the wedding planning process. It may be helpful to ask your friends once you have secured a wedding date so you can also finalize the Bridal Shower and Bachelorette Party dates at the Bridesmaids ask! Get it all out of the way. We are ALL social butterflies and our calendars fill up rather quickly!
A few weeks ago my sister did her Bridesmaid’s Ask and, dare I say it, it was seriously the cutest with an all Mean Girls theme! It is definitely not necessary to do a theme, but it sure does make it easier to plan and it’s so much fun!
Here is A Brief Rundown of My Sister’s Bridesmaids Ask!
Event: Wine tasting
Place: Lynfred Winery
Menu: Cheese plate/crackers and Jimmy John sandwiches- easy to eat and delicious!
Cost: Bride picked up the entire tab (make sure you do, since this event is for them)!
Bridesmaids Gift: Cookies that said “So Fetch”, A wine glass that said “You Can’t Sip with Us”, and a personalized card that said “You’re Like Really Pretty, Will You Be My Bridesmaid?” The yummy cookies were from Charming Affairs by Noreen! The cards were from Kerrative Designs!
Maid of Honor Box: All the items the bridesmaids received, cute maid of honor socks, scratch off card that says “Will You Be My Maid of Honor”, and a Mean Girls themed makeup kit. The box itself was my fav!
I thought it would be fun to share this experience so you can get an idea of what to do! Look for those hidden gems and throw a great event where none of your friends have been. What a great way to experience something new together with the your closest of friends! Lastly, supporting the small business (Charming Affairs by Noreen and Kerritive Designs) worked out great for my sister, so I would definitely suggest this!
